Kathy Diemer of A Garden for All

Kathy Diemer

Welcome to my blog, A Garden For All. I’m Kathy Diemer, the author and photographer, and I’ve been posting since 2012 with the same mission: To provide inspiration, information and a touch of adventure every time you visit. Sharing wonder and beauty is my greatest joy, and A Garden For All is the venue for what I’ve learned as a “hands-on” gardener and caretaker of my two challenging zone 5 acres over the last thirty-plus years. From my favorite plants and design techniques, to gorgeous local gardens and talented artists, you’re sure to find something inspiring!

Yet, just as our gardens evolve and change over the years, so do our lives . . .

In 2015 I lost my entire home and surrounding property in a devastating fire. It was then that I fully understood the important role plants had played in my life; my plants taught me about perseverance . . . and to believe in miracles. Plants, trees and wildlife have a way of teaching us many life lessons, of what is really important, and I’m so fortunate to be able to share what I’m learning with you.

It is my sincere hope that by sharing what I learn from my gardens, along with the many interesting and inspirational people and places I visit in my travels, I may guide you toward discovering or creating your own beautiful sanctuary as well ♥

Points of Interest:  I divide my time between blogging, speaking engagements, gardening, volunteering for animal rescues and spending time with my family and friends – both 2 and 4 legged. I teach a variety of classes including container gardening, designing with native plants and creating a multi-season landscape, and I tailor my presentations to suit your personal needs. For a list of upcoming events, please visit:  Speaking Engagements

Since the fire loss, I’ve become passionate about helping others cope with the devastation of a fire loss and now offer educational workshops on this topic as well.

You can find some of my articles and photos in Connecticut Gardener and Fine Gardening’s feature article: “Pick Plants for Fragrance.”  My gardens are toured annually by local garden organizations, were written about by Tovah Martin for Litchfield County Times and recently featured in Stephanie Cohen’s latest book: The Nonstop Garden.

If you are interested in having me speak for your organization, write for your publication, or simply have a question, please feel free to contact me.
